MINISTRIES What?
Chi Alpha Christian Fellowship (XA for short) is a Christian
outreach to students at The University of Montana. There are
over 300 Chi Alpha Campus Fellowships around the U.S. along with
many chapters around the world. All of Chi Alpha's staff are
missionaries who raise their own salary and operating budget
from personal supporters and churches who believe in the
importance of reaching college students for Christ. Chi Alpha
was started by the Assemblies of God in the mid-50's to operate
as an interdenominational mission outreach that would become a
part of the university campus culture. "Chi Alpha stands for the
Greek initials of the words "Christ's Ambassadors."
Why?
Our goal is to help students WORSHIP Jesus in every aspect of
their life and to assist them in finding their God-designed
MISSION in the world. On Monday nights at XA WORSHIP we gather
for worship, a relevant message, and times to get to know other
believers and seekers. During the week students gather for small
group Bible studies that usually meet in dorm rooms on campus.
In addition to these weekly events we also have retreats,
missions trips, outreach opportunities, and parties scheduled
throughout the year. Our Guys Ministry House houses 6 guys
living in community near campus and our Girls Ministry House
houses 7 girls.
When?
During the school year (Sept-Dec & Feb-May) XA Worship meets
every Tuesdays at 7:00PM in the UM Skaggs Building room 114. To
find the location of the small group Bible studies check out our
website or come to XA Worship.
