| WORSHIP ARTS MINISTRIES The ministries in music and the
arts at Christian Life Center revolve around one main
purpose…Magnification of God. Psalm 34:3 says, “O Magnify the
Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together.” As we “exalt
His name together” using the vehicle of music and the arts, we
experience His presence.
Our desire
is to see people realize the life changing power that comes from
those times in God’s presence, and to use their gifts in the
arts to glorify Him. We want everything we do to give God glory,
and to exalt and honor His Name!
One of the things that makes Christian Life
Center a great place to worship is that the leadership and those
involved in music ministry have a heart and vision to see the
consistent presence of God in the worship services.
We have three morning services with
three distinct styles of music.
Our 8:15 Classic service is
a more traditional style service using hymns and traditional
choruses.
The 9:45 Contemporary
service is lead by a worship band, and uses contemporary
choruses and some hymns in contemporary settings.
At 11:15 we have the
ConneXion service. This is more of a guitar driven worship
style, and is geared to our youngest demographic.
We are a family
church with multiple generations, and our goal is, by
providing these choices regarding musical style, that we help
more people to really enter in and connect with God during the
worship times. If you would have an interest in being
involved in any of our worship teams, please contact Scott or
Nancy to schedule an audition.
Technical Teams
There is a group of people
that are "behind the scenes" of our services and events,
and without them we would not be able to do what we do.
These are the individuals that make up our sound, lighting, and
projection teams. Experience with computers and other
technical production equipment is always a plus, but is not a
prerequisite for being part of this team. If you are
looking for a way to get involved in an important area of
ministry in the church and you think you would like to give it a
try, contact Scott.
There are soloists, instrumentalists and groups that sing
or play in some of our morning
services. There are also groups that will occasionally do skits that would open up for a
sermon or advertise an upcoming event, etc. Call Scott or
Nancy to schedule an audition.
God has
blessed Christian Life Center with being known in our
community and surrounding areas for producing a
Passion Play called "Easter Alive" every year for over
25 years. Easter Alive is a
full scale live dramatic musical production that usually
includes a cast of around 100 people, an original dramatic
script that changes each year, live music, dance and effects.
Open auditions are done in January of each year. The cast and musicians
then begin rehearsing one to three times per week, and will have several performances over the Palm Sunday and
Easter weekends, with an average attendance of 5000 to 7000.

Christmas
We have
seasonal choir rehearsals that usually start the end of
September, leading up to a concert event in December. Each
year the event is a little different, both thematically and in
content. The Christmas choir has also performed for other
community events, primarily singing for the Missoula Downtown
Association's annual "Lighting of the Christmas Tree",
among others. If you like the fun and fellowship of
singing in a large group, you will find the choir as a great
place to connect with others and enjoy singing the songs of the
season. You may call the music office to schedule an
audition, or just come and join in when the rehearsals get
started.
